My photography began by accident, and without plans. In 2004, I was invited to visit Israel on a business trip. Documenting the excursion required me to purchase a camera, of which a point and shoot was chosen. When we returned, my parents wanted to view the pictures and learn more of the country. We drove about 3 hours to where they lived and gave a slideshow of the photos taken. Mom asked if I would take a picture of her and Dad before we left. They dressed-up, had their picture taken and we came home.

Not much thought was given about the photo until I was pulling in to work when a call was received that Mom had passed away. Knowing that the photo taken the previous Saturday was the last, and a lasting memory of Mom, I headed home to process the image for her obituary.

Photography is so important because you never know when time will stop. A picture will evolve many feelings to different people, but it will make a difference whether a perfect photo or a perfect memory.
